Michael Paul Ozalas was taken into custody on Wednesday, March 22 after Anne Arundel County Police connected him to the vandalism that had occurred at the Masonic Lodge on Crain Highway on Monday, March 13.

Investigators say that Ozalas smeared a blood-colored substance on multiple doors of the Lodge. They also found hand-written letters that contained "concerning language" posted on the entry doors of the building.

A week later on Tuesday, March 21, a member of the Annapolis Masonic Lodge has his home vandalized in a similar pattern. Both the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard as well as the Annapolis Masonic Lodge also reported the same type of vandalism.

Flyers were posted around the area, eventually leading to Ozalas's identification and arrest.
